Time for School..........................YES!!!!

Happy Friday. You know what Friday brings. Another card for Just Magnolia and Fussy and Fancy. I really wanted to make 2 seperate cards but time wasn't allowing me lol. So I combined them once again. The challenge over at Just Magnolia is a lovely sketch by Dawny. The challenge over at Fussy and Fancy is Back to School. I decided to use this new Tilda With a Back pack, she's so cute! I had this paper for almost a year now it was supposed to be for my neglected scrapbooking. My friend  Angie sent me these little Tim Holtz clock faces. They are adorable! I had "Back to school" and then remembered I had these and changed it to "Time for School." Thanks so much Angie, you're so sweet!! Well I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I'm finished with my Magnolia projects, I hope to see them in the Magnolia Ink Magazine for the October issue! My kids start school on September 7th so hopefully I will have 2-3 cards a week back on my blog. It's hard to craft with all the kids intrupting all the time! I cannot wait for my old routine again!

Magnolia-licious Blog Hop.... Happy Birthday Diana!

Happy Birthday Diana!

I just love this Birthday Set I made. I worked on it for 2 days. Not bad huh? I made a Party Hat, I found this easy tutorial on mking your own party hats. All I did was trace a large dinner plate on a 12x12 piece of cardstock. Then I made a party blower, this looked so difficult when I first looked at the tutorial but it wasn't at all. It doesn't make the noise but it actually works! One tutorial I found used a piece of vellum, I believe to make the noise, I didn't want to tempt my kids, as it is they wont stop asking me if they could blow it. I even offered to go buy some so the kids could play with those. My 8 year old, Belle, said.. "but mom it's not the same.. can't you just make us some... LOL! Next I altered a can of mushrooms, it makes such a cute center piece, I added some of my gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft Flowers. For the party favor/treat holder I decided to do one of those sour cream containers. I had something else in mind but I messed up the first one and I was running out of this patterned paper so I switched to this. I think it's the easiest favor you can make. a year ago I made 50 of them for my cousins baby shower, it was so easy! Last but not least here's my new favorite card. I just love this Mermaid Tilda to pieces! Angie sent me some of her extra stamps from her Summer kit, that is how I got this adorable Edwin on a hook and a few other Stamps. Thanks so much Angie, you are awesome!!!!

Ok enough chit chat! The theme for our Magnolia-licious Blog Hop is Birthday, but you have to make a card and alter an item. If you have come from the lovely Janiel's Blog, you are on the right track. If you haven't please start at the begining at the Magnolia-licious Highlights Blog  Next in line is fabulous Sharon Caudle. Have fun, I hope you enjoy the hop!

Get Well, Lydia!

Hello everyone. I made this card last week for my moms good friend, Lydia. She had a severe stroke. She is only 60 years old, she was in a coma and couldn't control the bleeding in her head. So they had to remove part of the back of her brain. It is seriously a miracle, she woke up and CAN move and talk. She loves ladybugs, so I HAD to make her a card using this darling Tilda holding a ladybug! I hope this card will bring a smile to her face!

I used the sketch from Just Magnolia's challenge this week. By the lovely Mina! It's such a great sketch, I hope you can join us over at Just Magnolia this week!

Really Reasonable Ribbon August Blog Hop!

Time for our monthly Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop! I wanted to do a little something different so I decided to do a little home decor project for my daughters room. I wanted to put her name in the frame but this frame is too small. I really like the way it turned out. It's so perfect for a little girls room. The ribbon from this months Really Reasonable Ribbon kit is very girly, and has some beautiful prints on it. I covered the push pin with a bow, it's a nice little touch and really makes the ribbon stand out! I used my new stamp #277 Bon Voyage Tilda from the new Bon voyage Collection. I just love the way she is sitting and the flow of her hair. I colored her with my, lately, neglected copics. LOL

If you didn't come from Kym Weber's Blog then you need to start at the begining of the hop on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. Next on the Hop list is Gini Cagle. Hope you get lots of inspiration from our hop!

Dont forget we have our challenges on the 1st and 15th of every month!

Magnolia-licious Challenge and RRR Challenge.

Happy August 1st! I cannot believe how fast this year is going by. My kids still have another 5 weeks of Summer vacation! everytime they start their arguing I ask them, "Is it September yet!" They look at me like I'm crazy.. I dont think they fully understand what I mean lol!

Since it's the first of the month you all know what that means! Time for another Magnolia-licious Monthly Challenge, over at the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog! It's my turn to host the challenge and I chose to make a T-Slider Card. There's a T-Slider Card Tutorial over at SCS. It's a little intimidating to try, but I had fun to make and it's fun to challenge yourself sometimes. I think the #3039 Longing Tilda goes perfect in the center of my card. I used my stampin' up inks and distress inks to watercolor. I hope you can join the T-slider card challenge! I cannot wait to see the entries!

The first of the month also means a challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog! The challenge until August 15th is Black and White. It's a record for me in the last month, I don't think I've ever used so much black! I'm loving the cards though! So I hope you can join us over at RRR too! You can win a $10 gift certificate! There's such a great selection at the RRR Store too!
